In between the day-to-day tasks of finding unicorn candidates for amazing jobs at incredible businesses that we’re lucky enough to work with, there’s been many conversations in the office where some of these questions have come up and we want to share them with you!
The team that you work with are the foundations of a business and it can be what makes a business, great! So we believe that it’s important to get to know your co-workers, and now you can get to know them too.
We asked the team some questions and here are their answers:
What do you like most about working at MKJ?
Billy: Love the team, everyone is hardworking but so nice, funny and sociable at the same time. I also love our flexible working policy and our celebrations as a team!
Paul: The way we partner with customers externally and support one another internally
Becky: The autonomy to manage my own desk and the fact ideas are always encouraged
Danielle: Change! My role has changed a fair amount over the years that I’ve worked at MKJ and the support I get along the way to be able to adapt and grow.
Chris: Flexibility, Collaboration, and the diversity of recruitment in Food/Drink sector
Harriet: The people – especially Maurice’s wicked Irish humour. A lot of us have worked together for several years so a family feel.
Maurice: There is a wealth of recruitment knowledge and experience within the business that you can learn from, the team is diligent and hardworking, and we all have a good sense of humour.
How long have you worked at MKJ?
Billy: 1.5 years now 😊
Paul: From its birth, 18 years ago!
Becky: Well, technically nearly 6 years! I started my recruitment career at MKJ, left to experience a couple of other agencies/industries and then returned as Divisional Manager for Marketing & Commercial – I’m now into my 3rd year (round 2)! 😊

Billy: Woody from Toy Story, obvs. He’s just the coolest bloke ever!
Paul: DR Who – I would love to own a Tardis and travel back in time.
Becky: Buffy the Vampire Slayer – I was OBSESSED with her as an early teen!
Danielle: Hermione Granger, who wouldn’t want to use magic!
Chris: Professor X – Mind-control, all the gadgets, a mansion… what more do you need!
Harriet: Bridget Jones – She is naturally beautiful and funny without knowing it and has both Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) and Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) chasing after her!
