The market leading UK Division of a truly international £20 billion turnover services provider across multiple sectors, is looking to recruit a proven senior team leader with demonstrable Bid Centre experience, to manage support functions essential to the production of winning and retaining new and existing business. Leading a team of 40 across tendering, content and print functions, the Bid Operations Director will be tasked with optimising every facet of the sales and retention process.
The Bid Operations Director will build effective internal relationships (particularly with the Sales Directors) that deliver real value to a portfolio of new and existing contracts and will act as an ambassador for the Bid Centre across local and international teams. Ensuring a customer centric approach to all presentations, tenders and internal marketing collateral generated, the successful candidate will develop high quality innovative documents that will be memorable and industry leading, e.g. the use of video, social media, PowerPoint. The organisation is keen to establish how digital and media innovation could enhance their services.
With proven Bid Centre and leadership experience, the Bid Operations Director will possess a deep understanding of the sales/bid cycle at a senior bid management level, be able to see the bigger picture and operate effectively through both a strategic and operational lens. Possessing the courage, confidence and capability to challenge internal stakeholders in a progressive and collaborative manner, this role requires a commercial problem solver who can be calm under pressure and is able to deal with ambiguity.
