Buyer - Dairy and Eggs


The Organisation

This is an exciting role for a Dairy and Eggs buyer to join the EU head office of a market leading food manufacturer.

The Role

• Managing a budget of c £60m +
• Develop and implement category strategies for a portfolio of ingredients and commodities, using category management tools and processes
• Actively participate in, and support, a range of cross-functional project teams which deliver cost, quality & service optimisation’s, value improvement and innovation development (NPD)
• Price any variations, manage sub-contractor and client relationships

The Candidate

• Strong experience in global procurement of Ingredients or Commodities
• Professional experience of purchasing contracts
• Understanding of sustainability, seasonality and variance
• Ability to build trust, relationships and manage expectations
• Commercially aware
• Professional in manner and able to be an ambassador of the business
• Able to conduct internal and external presentations
• Motivated self-starter - able to identify improvement ideas
• Ability to own and deliver own work against tight deadlines
