Commercial Controller


We are currently looking for an experienced Global Account Controller to a join a complex and innovative FMCG food business, who are making huge bounds in their category. 

This role is within Director level banding and, as such, they are looking for an experienced FMCG sales leader who has the ability to drive growth at a strategic level. This role will lead a highly capable commercial team responsible for driving growth and winning new business with key, strategic Food Manufacturer customers, on a global and regional basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working for an FMCG business, ideally with a background in, or understanding of, flavour sales.
 
Main Responsibilities

• Managing a team of x2 and overseeing a substantial P&L 
• Winning and driving new business within the B2B channel
• Customer NPD development - productivity and cost target management
• Core category growth leadership and influence - external and internal
• Cross-Functional team ownership, accountability and behaviour setting
• Differing regional dynamics and product category revenue streams across customer base
• Maintaining a value added service, to ensure successful relationships.
• Identifying key areas for growth and gross profit increase
• Being responsible for driving a core competency growth area for the business
 
Candidate Profile

• National/Senior Account Manager experience in an FMCG business - high profile and high pressure customer based experience is important
• Solid strategic sales understanding
• Strong business development and account management skills
• Flavour sales and technical experience in food / beverage flavour
• Evidence of negotiation skills and strategic growth contribution required
• Ability to deliver KPI in timely manner and beyond targets
• Proven track record of innovation and stretching growth
• Strong P&L management experience
• Strong ability to influence
• Degree with 2:1 minimum
